About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Screener in Kailua Kona, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and engaging in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the location's operations.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Operate screening equipment and perform screening procedures for individuals entering the location, following established protocols.
Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals as required by site policies.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and law enforcement personnel as needed.
Document and report any incidents, unusual observations, or security-related concerns according to Allied Universal and site guidelines.
