About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Perimeter Watch in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A corrections officer license is required.
  • A law enforcement officer license is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the operations of government locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report activities and incidents, maintaining detailed and accurate records as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and provide directions as needed, contributing to a positive environment at the government location.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment.
