Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Patrol in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a valued team member with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence to all individuals onsite. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to support a secure environment, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or potential risks to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and monitoring entry and exit points.
Document and communicate incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal’s protocols.
Collaborate with site staff and local authorities as needed to support a secure environment.
