As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Rounds in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your role includes conducting routine patrols and providing outstanding customer service and communication to all individuals on site. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as necessary in response to incidents.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and visitors at the location.
Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner as directed by Allied Universal policies.
