You will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to calls for service, and document observations clearly. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site representatives and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor authorization and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, observations and/or maintenance concerns using required logs and reporting systems.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts regarding shift activities, patrol findings and/or operational issues.
  • Operate security-related equipment and systems as assigned, such as radios, telephones, cameras and/or access control devices.
  • Support government facility operations by providing directions, answering routine questions and assisting with crowd and/or line management during higher-traffic periods.
  • Conduct checks of doors, gates and restricted areas during patrols and report unsecured conditions according to site policy.
  • Participate in briefings, training and post order updates, and follow all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
