About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Driver in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding to situations as they arise. You will also provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions, incidents, or malfunctions that may arise during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public as needed while upholding security-related protocols.
  • Support emergency response efforts as directed by Allied Universal or site management.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
