About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Driver in SANTA CRUZ, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at government and public locations. This primarily driving post involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication to all visitors and staff. Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and/or the public while representing Allied Universal.
• Maintain accurate and timely logs and/or reports as required by site procedures.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site leadership.
