About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Detail in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our core values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while performing patrol duties.
  • Assist with access control and monitor ingress and egress points as required by site-specific policies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as directed in response to emergencies or incidents at the location.
