As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will allow you to provide exceptional customer service while responding to incidents as needed. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Candidates who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or any unusual occurrences observed during patrols.
Collaborate with local staff and law enforcement as required to support a secure environment for all individuals on site.
Remain alert to surroundings and communicate any concerns or hazards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
