Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Facility Access in Lakeland, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and offer exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out access control procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols for a government location.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or contractors with entry and exit processes as required.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access to the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management, site staff, and local authorities as needed.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or unusual activities observed during shift.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following site and Allied Universal procedures.
