As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols at a government location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those onsite. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques and following established protocols.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, including property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the government location.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on all incidents, patrols, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal policies.
