Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Alarm Response in Sanford, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will engage with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication.   • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and law enforcement as needed.
  • Follow all company and client policies, including those specific to government locations.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
