As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within a government location. Your visible presence and routine patrols will contribute to a secure environment, while you provide exceptional customer service and communication. This position requires a valid driver's license and may involve driving responsibilities as part of your daily duties.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the government facility.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and support site security-related operations.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual activities to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives as required.
• Assist visitors and employees with access procedures and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.
