Security Officer - Full Time Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome tenants and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges and entry points, and monitor activity to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly, document key events, and support a professional tenant experience through teamwork and integrity in a caring, people-first culture. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Control access at building entry points by verifying identification and/or access credentials, issuing visitor passes, managing sign-in logs, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and report irregular activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to property management and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document events, and coordinate with on-site personnel and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and assist with policy compliance, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
