About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Toronto, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location in an access control post, where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor and vendor processing, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and respond to situations with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Manage access control by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, directing deliveries and contractors to designated areas, and logging entries and exits per site requirements.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other access control systems when assigned, and report irregular activity or policy violations through appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and supporting responding personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, identify hazards to operations, and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
