Job Description As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Mont Belvieu, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry by checking credentials, verifying visitors, and supporting badge and gate operations while keeping clear, professional communication with teams on site. You will remain visible at key access points, document activity, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access at gates and entry points by checking identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing arrivals to the proper check-in requirements.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and foot traffic, verify deliveries and work authorizations as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry by escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and completing reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process-adjacent areas, and perimeter routes as assigned, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to site contacts.
