About The Position
As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Weiner, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, and track visitor and vehicle activity. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting a team that acts with integrity and delivers through teamwork.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to on-site employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification requirements, and visitor management protocols.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby points by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges as directed, maintaining visitor logs, and directing traffic flow in a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems as assigned, and report irregular activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to site leadership per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal staff and/or emergency services when needed and completing required incident documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related procedures.
