Join Allied Universal at a busy retail distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, check credentials and badges, and track visitors and deliveries. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves

- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to client personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Operate access control at a retail distribution location by screening and verifying credentials for employees, contractors and delivery drivers, and directing traffic to designated check-in areas.
- Monitor entry and exit points, visitor logs, badges and key control in support of inventory and facility protection, and help to deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical situations and/or suspicious activity, and notify appropriate contacts as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions and documenting security-related activity in daily reports.
