About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver - Weekdays in Kountze, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location supporting access control and a professional onsite presence. You will check credentials, manage visitor and vehicle entry, monitor activity, and document security-related observations while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized traffic to the correct destination.
  • Support security-related screening and inspections as required, including checking delivery paperwork, monitoring vehicle entry and exit, and reporting irregularities to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including perimeter checks and monitoring for unusual activity, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
