About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gated Community Access Control in Irvine, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Allied Universal team member assigned to a commercial real estate location, you will focus on access control responsibilities, monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
Monitor and control access points at the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any irregularities.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Communicate and collaborate with property management, residents, and/or visitors as needed to maintain order and address concerns.
Remain alert and attentive during assigned shifts to help to deter potential issues and uphold site policies.
