About The Position

As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas, screen people and items entering key points, and support access control with badges. You will stay visible, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver customer-focused assistance to team members and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal and site-specific access control and screening procedures at a logistics and distribution location, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and drivers at designated entry points using established screening methods and equipment, and/or verify identification and shipping documentation per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, completing required notifications, and/or documenting activity per post orders.
  • Control entry and exit through designated checkpoints by directing traffic flow, monitoring for prohibited items, and/or helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Complete accurate logs, incident reports, and screening records, and/or communicate routine updates to client representatives and Allied Universal leadership as required.
