As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document activity using site systems. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a smooth flow of people and vehicles. This is a driving post. Requirements
- Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification and/or credentials, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary passes, and directing traffic to appropriate areas.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; document activity, complete logs, and report irregular conditions according to site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with incident documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeter checks and parking or dock areas, as permitted by the post orders and conditions may vary by location.
