About The Position
As a Security Officer at SeaWorld Orlando, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and satisfaction of our guests. This full-time position requires a professional demeanor and a reassuring presence to enhance the overall park experience for visitors and staff alike. Your responsibilities will include providing a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, practicing safe work habits, and utilizing personal protective equipment. You will be stationed at various security checkpoints throughout the park, where you will complete general security tasks such as inspecting bags to prevent contraband, monitoring vehicles and employees entering and exiting the park, and checking ID cards to control traffic. In addition to these duties, you will perform routine foot and vehicle patrols, respond to emergency situations, and maintain order in large crowds. You may also be required to testify in court when necessary and serve as the Park Dispatcher, Communications Center, and Emergency Operations Center Officer. In the absence of an on-site supervisor, you will take on the role of Security Lead Officer or Officer in Charge (OIC). This position demands full availability, as you will be expected to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure the park operates smoothly and safely.
