About The Position

As a Security Officer Full-Time Shelter Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access activity, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and contribute to a professional environment. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and residents by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entry points, and perimeter zones, to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, document daily activities and/or incident details, and report policy concerns or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Support order at the location by assisting with de-escalation, verifying authorized access, and following post instructions related to residents, visitors, and staff interactions.
