About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Screener in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Lifting more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with X-Ray screening is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or materials entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location according to established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel to provide assistance and uphold security-related standards.
