Job Description As a Security Officer - Full-Time Retail Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, team members, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, retail location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
Monitor for issues such as shoplifting indicators, trespassing, loitering, and/or access concerns, and report observations in accordance with site procedures.
Support closing and opening activities, crowd flow management, and/or customer assistance within a busy retail environment while maintaining a professional presence.
