About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. At a busy retail location, our unarmed officers monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll remain visible, assist guests and staff, and respond to routine concerns with professionalism, communication, and integrity. Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
Assist with security-related incidents such as lost persons, customer concerns, medical events, and/or after-hours access requests in accordance with post orders and location procedures.
