About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Patrol in Pedricktown, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, and innovative. You will support a caring, people-first culture through teamwork and by always acting with integrity.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access control points for pedestrian and vehicle entry, verify identification and/or shipping documentation as required, and direct traffic flow to support orderly dock and yard operations.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer parking, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, medical events, and/or property damage, and notify site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activity, incidents, patrol observations, and/or violations of site policies, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.
