About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or potential hazards.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify authorized access as required by site policies, and document routine activities, incidents, and/or observations in assigned reporting systems.
Support a professional environment by providing directions, answering questions, and helping to address concerns from employees, patients, and/or visitors while following post orders and client-directed protocols.
