About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Unit in Elizabeth, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all site personnel, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse, loading dock, trailer yard, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or unsecured access points.
Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries, helping to support authorized access and orderly traffic flow at the location.
Observe site operations and report hazards, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
