About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full Time Patrol Driver in Darlington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will drive between designated areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control and badge verification, and help identify and report security-related concerns. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or media location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access control points and verify identification and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional presence while directing visitors to the appropriate destinations.
• Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate security-related observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts using approved reporting methods.
