About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of company assets, employees, and guests by adhering to company policies. This role involves responding to incidents, assisting guests and employees, and maintaining a secure environment through effective communication and crisis management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience in security or law enforcement.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Gaming License.
• Certification in CPR and AED.
• Ability to restrain adults weighing over 200 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Military background preferred.
• Knowledge in investigations, gaming regulations, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests and employees in various situations concerning their welfare.
• Respond to and investigate incidents and accidents involving guests, employees, and property.
• React calmly and quickly in crisis situations and make rational decisions.
• Complete documentation and recall specific details regarding incidents and individuals involved.
• Communicate directly with outside authorities such as the Metro police department, Fire department, and Paramedics as needed.
• Comply with all policies and procedures of the department and company.
• Provide direction and instruction to guests and employees during emergency situations.
• Follow orders given by outside agencies and Harrah's management.
