About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government transportation location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and personnel by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and restricted areas, report unusual conditions or policy violations, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or interactions in accordance with post orders.
Work closely with local authorities, site contacts, and Allied Universal leadership while remaining prepared to assist with crowd management, public assistance, and/or emergency situations as needed.
