Job Description As a Security Officer - Full-Time Access Monitor in West Chester, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and communication skills will help create a welcoming environment for all. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or vendors, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Operate access control systems and other security-related technology commonly used in tech, media, and telecom environments.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives to address site-specific needs and maintain compliance with established procedures.
