About The Position

The Security Officer enforces security related policies and procedures to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, patients, and physical properties. This position requires participation in orientation and continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. The role includes performing other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals.

Requirements

• NYS certification as a Security Guard required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years security experience highly desirable.
• BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required.

Nice To Haves

• College level course work in criminal justice is a definite plus.
