About The Position

As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, support badge and visitor verification, and assist with package screening using X ray procedures while watching for loss prevention concerns. You will stay visible, complete routine patrols, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access Control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen and verify employee, visitor, and vendor access at entry points, including checking identification, appointments, and authorization for access to logistics and distribution areas.
  • Inspect packages, bags, and shipments as required by post orders, using screening tools and visual checks, and report prohibited or suspicious items per site protocol.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting details, and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, monitor for irregular activity that may help to deter incidents, and complete required reports and logs.
