Job Description As a Security Officer - Front Desk Transportation Hub in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in the transportation industry, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while assisting with security-related matters. Requirements
- Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
- Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
- A corrections officer license is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors, employees, and/or contractors in a professional manner at the front desk of a transportation facility.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials and logging visitor information as required by site-specific policies.
- Assist with security-related procedures, following Allied Universal and location guidelines.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, and escalate as appropriate.
- Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
- Support emergency response activities according to location protocols and Allied Universal training.
- Maintain accurate records and logs related to front desk activities and incidents.
