About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Operations in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecommunications location, you will welcome employees and visitors, support access control and badge processing, monitor entry activity, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and professionalism. You will deliver standout customer service, document incidents, and collaborate with site teams, reflecting Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by greeting visitors, answering basic questions, and directing guests to the appropriate departments within a tech-focused office location.
  • Support security-related access control by verifying identification, following site-specific visitor management procedures, issuing visitor badges, and coordinating guest check-in and check-out.
  • Monitor entry points, lobby activity, and security-related systems such as cameras and alarms, reporting irregular activity per site-specific procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities and notifying appropriate personnel as required.
  • Complete required documentation such as visitor logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
