About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Driver in Dayton, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage check-in and badges, monitor access points and cameras, and document security-related activity with clear, professional communication. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach while helping to deter incidents through a strong, visible presence and responsive customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, answering calls, and assisting with site-specific access requirements at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Manage the front desk access control process by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, maintaining sign-in logs, and notifying site contacts of arrivals.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from the reception area, and report irregular activity per post orders and site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports and shift handoffs, documenting security-related activities, access events, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.
