As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a tech and communications location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage access and visitor logs, monitor cameras and alarm panels, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will serve as a visible presence that helps to deter incidents while delivering service that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and manage visitor registration, badging, and sign-in logs.
  • Answer phones and intercoms, route calls and requests, and coordinate service needs with building management and/or onsite teams while maintaining a professional lobby presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Operate and observe security-related systems such as cameras, alarm panels, and communication tools, and complete shift reports and other required documentation.
