As a Front Desk Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors, managing access, verifying credentials, and maintaining clear logs. You will monitor cameras and alarms, communicate with site teams during routine activity and/or unusual events, and provide customer-focused support. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures at the front desk, including check-in, credential verification, badge issuance, and visitor directions.
  • Monitor and document entry and exit activity for a chemical and/or petrochemical location, maintaining accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation as required by site policy.
  • Answer phones, route calls, and coordinate communications with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, including notifying appropriate personnel of alarms, unusual activity, and/or operational disruptions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities and evacuation notifications as directed by site procedures.
  • Support security-related screening requirements such as package deliveries, vehicle/visitor notifications, and coordination of contractor appointments, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
