About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Access Control in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access control at the location, verifying credentials and directing visitors as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or client management.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activity, and/or maintenance issues observed at the front desk area.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with all individuals entering or exiting the location.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unwanted activity.
