About The Position

As a Security Officer - Freight Yard Patrol Weekdays in Plain City, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support dock and yard operations with clear communication, helpful customer service, and timely reporting of observations. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal teams and/or public services as directed by post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, loading and unloading zones, trailer yards, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
Monitor access points and vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow, verifying authorization as required, and documenting arrivals, departures, and unusual activity per site procedures.
Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
