As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming shopping experience through strong customer service and clear communication, while using teamwork and integrity to respond to concerns. Requirements

• Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances and high-traffic areas, observe behavior, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, writing detailed reports, and contacting law enforcement and/or medical responders as directed.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with access control and closing procedures, and documenting security-related events using required systems and forms.
