As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to calls for service with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
  • Be comfortable using computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required and completing timely reports.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points such as gates, doors, and checkpoints, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures and maintaining accurate logs.
  • Observe utility equipment areas for unusual conditions, theft indicators, or property damage, and report concerns to the appropriate parties for follow up.
