Job Description As a Security Officer - Day Patrol in Columbus, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and help identify and report security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help reduce incidents, support access control and visitor guidance, and communicate clearly with personnel. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access control processes, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and document truck, trailer, and visitor activity per site policy.
  • Complete shift logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and assist with security-related investigations as directed.
