As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and customer service, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation support and notifying clinical staff and/or law enforcement when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, suspicious behavior, or unsecured doors.
  • Monitor and document visitor flow and access to restricted areas, including checking identification when required and assisting with directions and wayfinding within the facility.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports and logs, communicate status updates during shift change, and support investigations by preserving observations and coordinating with site leadership.
