About The Position

$21.24 per hour MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES! Afternoon, Evening shifts available. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday available. As a Security Officer - Courthouse Foot Patrol in San Bernardino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government human services location, you will patrol interior and exterior areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related issues. You will monitor activity, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing a strong customer-service presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government services location by following site-specific post orders, access procedures, and security-related protocols, including directing visitors and assisting staff as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances and common areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report concerns promptly to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disturbances when appropriate and requesting assistance from emergency responders per site procedures.
  • Complete required documentation such as shift logs, patrol reports, and incident reports with clear, accurate details, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers.
