About The Position

$21.24 per hour MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES! Afternoon, Evening shifts available. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday available. As a Security Officer - Courthouse Foot Patrol in San Bernardino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government human services location, you will patrol interior and exterior areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related issues. You will monitor activity, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing a strong customer-service presence. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service at a government services location by following site-specific post orders, access procedures, and security-related protocols, including directing visitors and assisting staff as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances and common areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report concerns promptly to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disturbances when appropriate and requesting assistance from emergency responders per site procedures.
Complete required documentation such as shift logs, patrol reports, and incident reports with clear, accurate details, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers.
