About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Agent in Thousand Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for shoppers and staff. This role offers the chance to combine your patrol presence, communication skills, and customer service in a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior according to post instructions.
Support a welcoming environment by offering directions, answering general questions, and assisting with security-related concerns while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
