About The Position

As a Security Officer - Foot Patrol Rounds in Gresham, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist employees and visitors with directions and questions, and clearly document observations using site tools and technology. Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance issues for reporting.
• Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and/or other systems as assigned, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with evacuation and/or shelter instructions, and documenting actions taken.
• Complete routine logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, and assist with traffic flow for deliveries and contractor activity by following established check-in and check-out procedures.
